The National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA)
began over 40 years ago and is
a not-for-profit organization that offers
physical and mental therapy to amputees
through involvement with golf.
Whether you are an amputee, golfer, or both —
you’re sure to want to
pick up a golf club after viewing their site.

Eastern U.S.A Amputee
Golf Association
EAGA's prime purpose is to organize
and conduct amputee golfing events and
"Learn to Golf" clinics for
any physically challenged individual, provide
communication between its
members and act as a bridge between its members
and the National
Association. The EAGA also assists NAGA in conducting the
"First
Swing" seminars for rehabilitation, parks and recreation, and golf
professionals.

AbleSailNetwork
The AbleSailNetwork (ASN) is a cooperative association of accessible sailing programs across
Canada. AbleSailNetwork provides a forum for operators to
identify, discuss and address common operating issues and challenges.
Members of AbleSailNetwork are committed to promoting and
developing the sport/recreation of sailing, by making it accessible to all
Canadians with a disability.

TEAM CANADA
DISABLED VOLLEYBALL
Team Canada Disabled
Volleyball's mandate is to provide competitive and training
opportunities to participants in disabled volleyball -- to be achieved
by offering comprehensive, fully integrated, developmental and elite
level programs for volleyball players with a disability. The National
Men's Standing Volleyball Team is the reigning World Champion, having
won the title in both 2002 and 2004. The program is integrated within
Volleyball Canada, the non-profit National Sport Organization which
governs all of volleyball in Canada.

Canadian Amputee Hockey
Committee (CAHC)
The Canadian Amputee Hockey Committee (CAHC)
is a newly formed committee, of the Canadian Amputee Sport Association
(CASA), that has organized for the sole purpose of promoting ice hockey for
amputees regardless of age, gender, race or physical ability. Amputee hockey
is played similarly to professional and amateur hockey, with the exception
that a player needs to be missing a limb at a major joint. Our motto, shared
by the American Amputee Hockey Association, is to, "put your disability on
ice". The main goal is to raise each and every players self esteem through
playing the Canadian past time, the fastest most exciting team sport in the
world.

Paralympic
Sports Association
As a non-profit
registered charity, the Paralympic Sports Association for the past
thirty-five years has been providing recreation and sport programs in the
Edmonton, Alberta area for men, women and children with a physical
disability. Members can
find their own level of comfort in these programs,
whether it be at the recreational or more competitive level.

American Amputee
Soccer Association
Promote social interactivity,
self-esteem and self-confidence among adult, and
especially among new and
youthful amputees, through recreational and competitive amputee soccer
programs. They identify, develop, and train athletes to represent the
United States in elite International and Paralympic amputee soccer
competition.

U.S. Handcycling Federation
The United States Handcycling
Federation is a non-profit corporation designed to foster and promote the
development of Handcycling in both its recreational and competitive
natures. The Corporation is organized and operated to foster
National and International amateur sport competition within the meaning of
section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Sailing Association of British Columbia
Provides
people with disabilities the opportunity to leave their restrictions
behind and become active participants in an exciting outdoor sport.

Disabled Sports USA
A national nonprofit, 501(c)(3),
organization established in 1967 by
disabled Vietnam veterans to serve the
war injured. DS/USA now offers nationwide sports rehabilitation programs to
anyone with a permanent physical disability. Activities include winter
skiing, water sports, summer and winter competitions, fitness and special
sports events. Participants include those with visual impairments,
amputations, spinal cord injury, dwarfism, multiple sclerosis, head injury,
cerebral palsy, and other neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions.
BC Sport and
Fitness Council for the Disabled
The British Columbia Sport &
Fitness Council for the Disabled (the Council) is a federation of nine
member groups, each of which has its own mission,
mandate, and membership.
The Council's role is to coordinate the efforts
of its member groups where
appropriate, provide a liaison with government,
direct fund raising
projects, and coordinate
the annual Games for Athletes with a Disability. |
